The inspiration
An emotion,a signature.
Bergamot barely lights the way; black pepper and cardamom are already closing the canopy. The heart sinks in among the trunks: pine, balsam fir, cypress. Incense rises between them, iris mutes the forest floor. The base is the forest itself — gaiac wood, sandalwood, patchouli, vetiver — and the moss that covers everything.
