Iris

Iris is the most patient material in perfumery: it is not the flower that is distilled but the rhizome, dried for three years before becoming iris butter. Its scent is powdery, velvety, almost cold — between violet, flour and fine chalk.

Iris is the principal heart note of Harmonie Céleste. It also features among the heart notes of Sable Vanillé.
